1. Papaya and honey mask

Raw papaya has anti–inflammatory, anti–fungal, antibacterial properties; it removes dead skin cells and excess lipids from the surface of the skin. Lycopene is also found in papaya which protects the skin from free radicals.

Papaya also contains an enzyme called papain, which reduces redness, inflammation and prevents the formation of pus. It also helps in lightening pimple scars.

How to apply:

• Mash up the papaya well or blend it until smooth. Add one tablespoon of honey.
• Apply to the skin leave it on for 15-20 minutes, and then rinse off completely with warm water.

2. Garlic with yogurt.

Garlic has important component allicin which has anti-viral properties, killing the bacteria responsible for pimples. Garlic also improves blood circulation, reduces acne scars, swelling, pain and irritation. On the plus side, yogurt has lactic acid that helps in removing dead skin cells.

How to apply:
• Blend 4-6 cloves of garlic and add two tablespoons of yogurt into it.
• Apply on the affected area and leave it for 5-10 minutes
• Rinse with cold water, repeat this process every day.

3. Lemon

Lemon is an excellent exfoliator and acts as a natural skin lightener to reduce the appearance of scars. It also inhibits new pimples from developing by killing the bacteria that cause the pimple to swell up. Also, lemons are easily available and can be used regularly.

How to apply:
• On a clean face, use a cotton swab to apply lemon juice on the affected area and leave it

4. Tea tree oil

This oil is an essential oil which is extracted from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia. It has natural inflammation-fighting properties, making it excellent to fight acne-causing bacteria. Tea tree oil is known to unblock skin pores; it cuts through the extra sebum and dead skin cells, preventing further outbreaks.

How to apply:

• Dilute tea tree oil by adding 1part of oil to 9 parts of water
• Use a cotton pad to apply this all over the skin, leave it on
• Repeat the process twice daily.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has antibacterial properties. It contains malic and lactic acid that suppress inflammation and redness caused by acne. Lactic acid also reduces the appearance of scars left my acne.
It is also shown that apple cider vinegar reduces the excess oil from skin which is the main cause of pimples.

How to apply:

• Add 1 part apple cider vinegar to 4 parts water
• With the cotton ball, apply the vinegar on the affected area
• Leave it on for about 20 minutes and rinse off with cold water.
• It is advised to repeat the process 1-2 times a day.

6. Neem Leaves and Rose Water

Neem leaves have antibacterial properties, which can control acne bacteria, control excess oil and get rid of stubborn acne scars. On the other hand rose water, would tone your skin and keep it fresh as it has astringent properties.

How to apply:

• Take a handful of clean neem leaves, grind them into a thick paste by adding a little rose water
• If you prefer, steam your face for a few minutes before applying this pack.
• Apply a thick layer all over your face and leave it for half an hour
• Rinse it off with lukewarm water

7. Aloe Vera Gel

Due to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, aloe vera is considered as a natural scar-removal element. It also heals skin rashes; helps repair damaged skin and promote growth of healthy skin giving a flawless and glowing complexion.

How to apply:

• Cut an aloe vera leaf and take out the gel
• Apply the gel on the affected area and massage in upward circular motion
• Let it sit for about 30 minutes and rinse it later with cold water
• Repeat the process every day until you get the desired results
